Books for China Project 2010 Annual Report

Thanks for the support of many friends, individual scholars, libraries, publishers, and other donors,

Space does not allow me to mention the names of all donors in this brief report. I must apologize to all of them, especially those to whom I have not sent a thank-you letter. Their donations and contributions will be remembered and appreciated by many students and professors in China. They will also enhance the cultural relationship between the U.S. and China.

Among the largest donors of books are Professor Kang-I Sun of Yale University, Professor Hahmood A. Zaidi, Mr. Jia Ying, Dr. Sheldon Jacobson, Ms. Julia Dorn, Iona College, Kingsborough Community College, Soka University, Professor Paul P. Wang, Professor Tarn Tzyjong, and Business Week publisher.

The total expenditure of this year is $6446.34. Many thanks to the above-mentioned financial supporter, the project does not go into red this year. We are really most grateful to them for their strong support.

As the project is becoming better known to more people, we expect to receive more donors in the coming year. And there will be more expenses in picking up books from donors, in loading books into more containers, and in paying the rent in storage. We hope that there will be more financial contributions to our project in the coming year. The Books for China Project is sponsored by the Book for China Fund which is a tax-exempt charitable organization. As soon as the project receives a check which is sent to the following address:

		Books for China Fund
		c/o Mr. John T. Ma
		138-10 Franklin Avenue, #3-D
		Flushing, NY 11355

and is made payable to Books for China Fund, I will send the contributor an official receipt that can be used for tax-deduction.

Scores of university libraries in China are waiting for our books. Many donors in America are asking us to ship their books to China. The project is a bridge that connects American donors with Chinese recipients. They are all builders of a better world in the future. Let’s help them. .
